Over the past year the Horry County AAUW Branch has been very active. Here are just a few of the activities we launched:
- Collected and delivered over 2,000 lbs. of food for Helping Hands of Myrtle Beach.
- We were able to collect over $1,000 at our Purple Ribbon Luncheon to support the Family Justice Center, a domestic violence shelter.
- We welcomed speakers on issues such as human trafficking, voting rights, gerrymandering, gun sense laws and childhood literacy.
- Due to the generosity of our members and our community, we were able to donate 360 toys to Toys for Tots this holiday season.

- Holley Tankersley, PHD. – Political Polarization: Why Women Can Change Our Toxic Politics
- Jaime Harrison – Democratic Candidate for the United States Senate
- Melissa Watson – Democratic Candidate for the United States House of Representatives.
